(San Antonio) Last week, the campaign of Congressman Pete Gallego launched a 20-city, 2,000+ mile tour of TX-23 themed "Putting Texas First".

Among the local leaders endorsing Rep. Gallego along the way were Zavala County Judge Joe Luna who said, "I truly appreciate the fact that he's down here and talking, not only to me, but also to everyone else in the community. That's also a good thing. He's part of our community as well."

The Mayor of Eagle Pass, Ramsey Cantu, added, "
Congressman Pete Gallego has been instrumental in the continued growth of South Texas and a dear friend of Maverick County for many years - serving as a State Representative and now as our Congressman - he understands the issues of the area. We look forward to his continued support and of course continued guidance in the U.S. Congress."

The tour continues this week in Fort Stockton, Pecos, Alpine, Presidio and Marfa before concluding on 9/3 in El Paso.
