Today, on Veterans Day, we officially pay tribute to the men and women who have bravely served and sacrificed for our country. Their service has made it possible for us to enjoy the many freedoms - small and large - which we far too often take for granted.
I hope you took a moment today not only to remember those sacrifices, but also to thank the men and women who served and to thank their families as well. As the son of a serviceman, I know full well that the families of our men and women in uniform also make tremendous sacrif

The Gallego for Congress campaign today held a press conference condemning Congressman Canseco’s opposition to the DREAM Act and his recent statements calling the new deferred action policy unconstitutional. The DREAM Act would allow young people who came to this country as children and stayed out of trouble to earn citizenship if they go to college or join the military. The Deferred action policy protects students from deportation and lets them apply for work permits so that their lives are not on hold until Congress passes the DREAM
